Welcome back to our series: Meet the team, where we introduce the people behind the Nivo brand. Next up is Zach Thomas, who is about to celebrate his second work anniversary.

Zach, please tell us what you do at Nivo?

I’m part of the business development team guiding organisations through their digital transformation journeys.

What are your credentials and past experience, for working in your position?

I was one of the earliest hires at Nivo and have worked closely with one of the Co-Founders (CDO, Mat) to build the BD team and set out our process. My background has always been in sales – meeting different people and building relationships is important to me and I love doing it!

What is the biggest challenge people in your industry have to deal with that you directly fix?

1) In regulated industries the operation is not digitised so there is still an incredible amount of phone, email, and paper. This leads to delays, manual effort, frustration, drop out, information security issues and errors.

2) Consumers expect smooth mobile experiences, a world away from these legacy channels and solutions such as portals have failed; they’re too clunky and customers don’t like them.

3) Traditional attempts to deliver technology projects typically fail to deliver the planned benefits, over run and cost more than planned.

What do you like about working at Nivo?

No two days are the same. It’s a constant learning curve and being a part of an exciting SaaS scaleup make it worth getting up in the morning. The openness and natural curiosity of the Nivoks (Nivo folk) makes for amazing internal collaboration and insight into other parts of the business. The founders’ ambition is as big as you can imagine, and I know we’re on for something special.
