Michael has spent 20 years delivering technology into financial services. Nivo was launched with a mission to connect consumers and financial providers around the world with ease. Their award-winning Verified Identity Messaging solution does just that, ending dependence on clunky, inefficient and unsecure channels like email, phone and paper/post.

Tim Wheeldon

COO, Fluent Money

Tim and his fellow directors founded Northwest brokerage, Fluent Money Ltd in 2008, which currently holds the enviable position as the UK’s largest mortgage broker. The last 14 years have seen exponential growth for the Fluent Group fintech business, with expansion of their product portfolio beyond secured lending into mortgages, equity release, general insurance and most recently into regulated bridging (2021).

Tim’s involvement in the expansion of the Fluent Group, and his knowledge of digital financial platforms, has maintained his reputation for consistently developing high-growth companies and will serve the business well in the next exciting chapter under MAB ownership.

Buster Tolfree

Director of Mortgages, United Trust Bank

With 25 years management experience across various senior banking and lending roles, Buster is currently responsible for the end to end mortgage journey at UTB. In 2022 this saw the launch of BTL products to compliment a more established range of specialist Residential Mortgages and Second Charge loans.

As a protagonist of digital change, the UTB application journey balances the likes of biometric ID verification and App-based document upload via Nivo with complex rules engines to provide an ‘Auto-Underwrite’ alongside their 24/7 DIP. This leaves staff to focus on the real value-add tasks, ensuring Introducers receive a high quality level of service.

UTB have won 24 Mortgage awards in the last 7 years, with Buster personally winning Mortgages Business Leader of the Year at the Credit Strategy Awards 2022 and Business Leader: Second Charge Lender at the British Specialist Lending Awards in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022.
